Product Description
Gadwal -The Pride of Telangana is considered world famous for artistic, beautiful handwoven sarees with turning zari woven motifs and well crafted kuttu borders.
Gadwal Sarees are woven traditionally using interlocked-weft technique, locally called as Kuppadam / Thippadam or Kotakomma/ Kumbam, with respect to the design of the borders.
One of the most remarkable features of the saree is the admirable zari pattern found on the textile and the well-crafted Kuttu borders. Kuttu (stitch) is the art of joining the border and pallu of the saree after it has been woven.
Sarees are very light weight and easy to carry with a very ethnic rich party look.
Silk Mark Authentified and Handloom Mark Sarees from Samprada.
Silk Mark is a certification mark in India for silk textiles. The silk mark certifies that the piece of textile which bears the mark is made of pure natural silk. The certification is managed by the ‘Silk Mark Organisation of India’, a society set up by the state-controlled Central Silk Board of India.
The Handloom Mark is a guarantee to the buyer from The Textiles Committee that the product being purchased is a genuine hand woven product and not from powerloom or mill made mass production .
